Glenwood Town Council Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. If the Monday is a federal holiday, the meeting will be held the next day.

Request for Bids to Purchase Vehicle Deadline Oct 15

The Town of Glenwood is seeking sealed bids (written offer) for the purchase of a 2009 Mercury Mariner.

The sale is subject to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Sealed bids may be submitted to Denny Richardson, Town of Glenwood Council President, 409 N. Main Street, Glenwood, Indiana 46133 or Post Office Box 205, Glenwood, Indiana 46133 to be received no later than 12:00 p.m. on October 15, 2024. All bids received will be opened at the Glenwood Town Council meeting at 7:00 p.m. on October 15, 2024. All bids will be open to public inspection.
  2. A minimum bid for the 2009 Mercury Mariner is $1,000.
  3. A bid to purchase the vehicle is in the vehicle’s present condition, AS IS.
  4. The purchase price shall be tendered with a local bank cashier's check or a local bank money order within 48 hours of acceptance. The purchaser shall be responsible for the value loss to the vehicle beginning on the date of closing.
  5. The property may not be sold to a person who is ineligible under I.C. 36-1-11-16.
  6. A bid submitted by a trust (as defined by IC 30-4-1-1(a)) must identify the beneficiary of the trust and the settlor empowered to revoke or modify the trust.
  7. The Town of Glenwood reserves the right to waive informalities or irregularities in the selection process. The Town does not commit to sell the vehicle. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any bids received, or to cancel the request for the vehicle.

Dumpsters will be in Glenwood at the Fire Station. In-town Glenwood residents on the Fayette County side may use these dumpsters.

Please be prepared to unload trash into the dumpster. However, if you cannot take items to the dumpster, arrangements may be made for your items to be picked up.  It may be necessary for the items to be at the curb.  For arrangements contact:
